The British Army has announced a new recruitment drive targeting Nigerian candidates, highlighting the significant role that Commonwealth soldiers play in its forces. This initiative underscores the ongoing importance of these soldiers within the organization.
Interested applicants must be linked to the Recruit Bounty Referral Scheme, although musicians are exempt from this requirement. To qualify, candidates will need to pass several fitness tests, including the multistage fitness test (beep test), the seated ball throw, and the mid-thigh pull.
The British Army recommends that applicants stop smoking and adopt a balanced diet to prepare for the tests.
Successful candidates will be invited to travel to the UK for further assessments in October and November 2024. Those who pass will start their basic training between January and March 2025.
